Mmmm, I mean, I’m working up a page right now so that should be done and posted in the next week or so?
But I hesitate to say that my comics are ever “started“ or “stopped” or “on hiatus” or “active” because that puts pressure on me to suddenly have a backlog of finished pages/planned out scenes/etc and usually when I am slow with updates it means I don’t have a buffer and that I’m struggling to find the spoons to create even just a single page. -__-
Sometimes my comics update faster and sometimes they update slower, but I never actively stop or start production. I often can’t make plans like that because I simply don’t know when my brain will cooperate with me or not? And I gotta be gentle with that brain, yanno? I can right now only promise that after I post this next page I will start working on the page after that. And when I post the page after that, I will start on the one after that one! And so on, etc, until I have a whole story. :)
Not this year, though it is a great con and I enjoyed it a lot, so maybe next time!
HMMM it’s difficult because it depends: is this an ideal like, regular weekend day, or a special special day where I am suddenly and mysteriously transported to Disney World?
I guess in either case I tend to really like days when I get to go out and do something like a con I’ve been looking forward to or an event or something fun like an amusement park with someone I like and basically just follow them around and hit all the stuff there is to do there. Then we take a little break to do something chill and get our energy back and then there’s a really nice dinner out somewhere and then we go see a movie or a show or theres like a party or something and afterwards i go to bed feeling like I got to do/see all the stuff I wanted to do/see at said event and then we wake up and get eggs *nod nod*
Egg breakfast is officially part of the same ideal day even though it’s technically the next day because when the day is really good you don’t want it to end and egg breakfast means it hasn’t ended yet.
He IS gonna get a new special hell-name! It’s not really a secret name, patrons already know it (and probably if you dig far enough into the archives of this tumblr you can find it too)
Tho it IS gonna be one that Bernard’s gonna be like “um oh are you SURE”. Not so much because it’s overly edgy (hellfolk LOVE their long complicated multi syllabic edgelord names) but for special secret plot reasons :D
K-kinda?
Last year I did kinktober instead of inktober and used one of those prompt lists. This year I will be using the official 2018 inktober prompt list but the pieces will still all be nsfw. I won’t do every single prompt on the list and probably not in order either, but I’ve got some great ideas for some of those prompts and its open enough to let me play a bit with them too ;)
I’ll be posting my pieces in my Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/banquetcomic) but will also be posting censored or cropped versions to my twitter (https://twitter.com/Aszabla) , maybe at the end of the month all in a pile like I did this month with smooch art.
I like ice cream that’s like vanilla but then has little chocolate bits in it or like swirls of caramel or peanut butter or stuff so basically it’s like eating ice cream but also eating candy at THE SAME TIME.
Absolutely yes! Bird Boy Volume 3 is currently updating every Thursday night on the website (www.bird-boy.com) It should continue updating online for all it’s remaining Volumes unless something crazy and unforeseen happens.
The only thing that has changed is that since Bird Boy has a publisher now, Volumes 1 and 2 are no longer free to read on the website. But they can easily be purchased in print format in bookstores and online, as well as digital versions through Comixology, Amazon or on the Dark Horse website!
Banquet meanwhile updates Sunday nights and will continue to do so for the next ten thousand years until my drawing arm turns to ash and crumbles from my ancient torso.
I can’t see myself working on Cealdian again in the same shape it took when I was working on it back in college, but I guess you never know! A ton of its spirit has gone into Banquet (kings, coronations, court politics, angry magic, disturbingly attractive folks with nice hair, fancy swords, you know…normal stuff.) so maybe that’ll scratch your Cealdian itch?
Thanks so much for following along with my work either way, tho!
